Mouth Cancer Foundation Grants

The Mouth Cancer Foundation will reward the extraordinary efforts of groups of people, support groups or not for profit organisations, both in and outside healthcare professionals, across the UK, who work tirelessly to raise awareness and support people affected by mouth, head and neck cancers.

Tell us about your project. We want to hear about the ways you offer support to people that improves the lives of those affected by head and neck cancers. Let us know how much it will cost and what sort of grant you require. We aim to award grants to people and organisations who have a positive impact on the quality of life of head and neck cancer patients, families and their carers.

Mouth Cancer Foundation Patient Grants

The Mouth Cancer Foundation is dedicated to supporting patients and has created two new funds:

The Mouth Cancer Foundation Gordon Hills Grant and Mouth Cancer Foundation Clare Jones Grant to support people with head and neck cancer, specifically providing grants for services which will complement traditional medical treatments. The Mouth Cancer Foundation Clare Jones Grant is specifically for patients under 30 years old.

Grants, up to the value of £250 per head and neck cancer patient per year can cover a wide range of needs including:

Well-being/Mental Health Counselling/Support

Laser Treatment

Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

Acupuncture

Reflexology

Psychosexual Therapy

Physiotherapy Sessions (outside sessions provided by hospital treatment plans)

Stress Busting Massage

Spa/Pamper Day

The Charity is also open to patients presenting opportunities with associated costs and we will consider what we can facilitate. To access the grant, fill out the application form and email it in to us with the appropriate documents as outlined.

Charity Grant Application Form 2026

Terms:

One grant per family.

Grants can only be applied for once a calendar year.

Patients must be residents in the UK and proof of address is required

The Mouth Cancer Foundation can only accept applications from those 18 years old or above.

Apply for the Mouth Cancer Foundation Gordon Hills Grant if over 30 years old.

Apply for the Mouth Cancer Foundation Clare Jones Grant if under 30 years old.

You must provide proof of a Head or Neck cancer diagnosis from your hospital consultant to receive this grant.

Patients must provide a receipt and contact details of the service provider.

All parts of the application form must be fully completed, relevant receipts and documents submitted.

Upon grant acceptance, you will receive grant funding within 30 days.

All applicants will be informed of the outcome via email.

Clare Jones

Clare was diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2003 and sadly passed away in 2007 at 23 years old. The Jones family has tirelessly fundraised for the charity ever since.

Gordon Hills

The Mouth Cancer Foundation Gordon Hills Grant is in memory of the Hills Family Ambassadors’ Dad who have raised over £56,000 since losing their Dad in June 2018.

The Mouth Cancer Foundation may photograph and film the shortlisted projects for public viewing on the charity’s website. Photographs, press publications and filming are for the purposes of promotion and education only. Please note that any personal information will be processed by the Mouth Cancer Foundation in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Entrants agree to the following of any grant awarded:

Grant money must be used to enhance existing support or to develop a new service or project to benefit people affected by head and neck cancers.

Grants must not be used for existing staff costs or to pay existing debt and must be used within 12 months of the grant being awarded.

Proof must be supplied when requested from the charity.

The grant will be given as a one-off payment.

Please note that the decision to award a grant is final. A panel of judges will make the final decision based on the completed application form. Please note we may take references as part of the application process.

The Mouth Cancer Foundation may photograph and film a grant recipient about the project for which the grant has been given, for public viewing on the charity’s website.
