Donate in Memory

Welcome to our memory space where you can honour, pay tribute and remember loved ones by raising money for the Mouth Cancer Foundation. Keep memories alive by writing a message and making a donation to help others. Create a lasting online memorial and make a difference in a loved one’s name.

Personalise your memory page to celebrate the life of your loved one, and invite friends and family to add messages, photos, memories, music and videos. You can also light virtual candles and leave virtual gifts. Your tribute is free for you to create and keep forever, to visit whenever you want to cherish the memory of your loved one. You can also make and encourage donations to your tribute page, which come directly to us and whenever you visit the page you can see the value of the fund created by your loved one’s memory. A powerful reminder that when lives are lost, they are not forgotten.

Donations raised through your Memory Page will be collected and processed by MuchLoved and automatically transferred to the Mouth Cancer Foundation. This means the whole donation process is handled for you.

Funeral Collections

Asking for donations to be made at a funeral or memorial service, or arranging a funeral collection online through a tribute page, are meaningful ways to honour a loved one’s memory while supporting the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

You can liaise with your funeral director or if you wish, you can create an online page to share with family and friends. This allows anyone who can’t be with you on the day to make a donation or share a personal message. Starting a page in memory of someone special means you can share thoughts and memories, light candles online, as well as make donations.

Gift in Wills

Leaving a gift in your will is one of the biggest differences you can make to help people with head and neck cancer, family members and carers live life as fully as they can. One person every three hours will be diagnosed with mouth cancer. Leaving a gift in your will is a big personal decision, so we hope it will help you consider what is important to you. We have partnered with our long-time champion, Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, who have agreed to offer a 15% discount to supporters of the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

Their friendly team of experts can help you write a will to:

Make sure your money and property go to the people you want them to go to
Minimise inheritance tax
Reflect changes in your life circumstances, such as marriage or divorce, or the birth of children or grandchildren
Ensure gifts of personal items are left to the right people
Set up trusts and make gifts to charity.

Philanthropy

Giving a personal major gift is an amazing way to help us support more people living with head and neck cancer. Find out how we can work together so your gift has the biggest impact. Philanthropy means we can continue to provide significant support to the 8864 mouth cancer patients diagnosed each year.

Gift Aid – making your money go further

Using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, we’ll receive an extra 25p from the Government, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

Download and print this Gift Aid declaration form (PDF) that can be used when you want to make an individual donation to the Mouth Cancer Foundation charity. Simply complete this form and send it along with your donation to the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

Spare change

Look out for one of our collecting tins. If you can’t see one around, contact us and we’ll send you one and you can start collecting either from your friends or colleagues at work. Once the tin is full, simply empty out the change. Count it, let us know how much you have made, bank it and either transfer the money into the charity’s bank account, (contact us and we’ll send you the details), pay it as a donation or send us a cheque.
