Today, a dental practice in Epsom, Epsom Dental Centre, is announced as the Mouth Cancer Foundation’s first ‘Practice of the Month’ in 2014.  The team has proven they go above and beyond to implement the charity’s Mouth Cancer Screening Accreditation Scheme* so was chosen from all dental practices across the UK who have signed up to the charity’s new scheme.  B

It promises to be a great year for us as we aim to start new projects to raise even more awareness of head and neck cancers. We will also continue to improve our charity to ensure everyone who needs it receives our help and support. We hope that you will continue to visit our website for help and advice on all matters relating to head and neck cancers.

The Britain Against Cancer Conference, hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer (APPGC), is one of the largest conferences of its kind in the UK. The conference goes from strength to strength every year and is attended by hundreds of patients, charities, policy makers, health professionals, commissioners and politicians.

NHS England is divided into five Domains and the APPGC has investigated what needs to be done to ensure that cancer is embedded across all of them. Their work culminated in a report with recommendations for NHS England which was launched at this year’s conference.  

International Volunteer Day was created by the United Nations in 1985. It offers a chance for individual volunteers, communities and organisations to promote their contributions to development at the local, national and international level as well as raise awareness of volunteering and encourage others to get involved.

The Irish Dentistry Awards have been created to recognise dental practices that go the extra mile in customer service, dental excellence and who constantly strive to provide the very best in dental care for their patients. We are grateful to FMC for their continued support and look forward to attending such prestigious Awards next year.
