The dental team at Limegrove Dental Care in Matlock, went above and beyond to raise awareness and funds for Mouth Cancer during Mouth Cancer Awareness Month.

Associate Dentist, Dr Anneka Nicholls, organised the ‘Mouth Cancer Carsington Water Awareness Walk’ and put up displays in the waiting rooms as well as creating a Facebook page for marketing - https://www.facebook.com/donate/968365703543876/

Then on Friday 22nd November, the team went on an 8 mile walk around Carsington Water in blue lipstick and items of blue clothing to raise awareness and money for the ‘Mouth Cancer Foundation.’ Children, partners and four legged friends even went along to support the cause.

Anneka says “Carsington Water was beautiful.  The rain and muddy puddles were no match for the enthusiasm of the team.  The Mouth Cancer Foundation is important to our dental practice because, we see the devastating impact that oral cancer has on patients and their families.   Diagnoses has grown by more than 40% and is predicated to continue to rise over the coming years. The importance of attending regular dental check-ups, for prevention and early detection is paramount for a more favourable outcome.   I am proud to say we raised £340 for the Mouth Cancer Foundation and will continue to always care for our patients as well as raise awareness.  I would like to thank all the Limegrove team, friends, family and patients for getting behind this fantastic cause”.
