THANK YOU…THANK YOU…THANK YOU…
…to all the amazing walkers who turned up to take part in the 14th Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk. Over 500 of you came, had fun and walked around Hyde Park, London on Saturday 28th September.
We could not have run the event without our amazing, hardworking volunteers who ensured the day ran smoothly, supporters who provided some great content for the goodie bags and a dry September day, perfect for walking in, after a week of rain!
The charity would also like to say a big ‘thank you’ to our special guest this year, Singer/Songwriter, Jay Aston, who came along to send the participants on their way at the start of the walk. Jay, best known as a member of Bucks Fizz, who won the 1981 Eurovision song contest with Making Your Mind Up and a famous skirt ripping routine, was diagnosed with mouth cancer in Summer 2018. At the time Jay feared mouth cancer could stop her talking and singing. Thankfully she is still doing both.
