Bupa Cares has donated £500 to the Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk and has employees signed up to take part in the event.  The 14th free Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk, is the only walk of its kind solely for mouth cancer and is a fantastic team building day out.

Have you done your #MC7 self-examination yet?  #MC7 is the charity’s latest social media initiative to educate and encourage the general public to sit up and take note that they should be checking themselves for mouth cancer at least once a month.  MC stands for Mouth Cancer and the 7 is the 7 areas of the mouth that everyone should be checking - Face, Neck, Lips, Gums, Cheeks, Tongue and Mouth

From September 2019 boys in school year 8 will be offered the free Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine for the first time. Until now, only teenage girls have been given the free vaccine, with parental consent, which protects against cervical cancer.

In June this year, Lorraine Owens, of Betws, Carmarthenshire, celebrated her 100th birthday with a tea-party for her family and friends.  The care home, where she now lives, laid on a marvellous spread for her 50 guests, with some of her relations travelling a long way to join her. The party was a great success and was blessed with sunny weather.

It is less than 24 hours to go until 15 adventurous team mates from recruitment company Consult start their Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – that is walk 25 miles across Yorkshire’s highest 3 peaks in less than 12 hours.
