Back in November, Mouth Cancer Action Month, when fundraising was a little easier than it is now, the dental team from Ruthin Dental Practice in Wales, raised a substantial £302.50 by walking half the length of the North Wales coast, a whopping 475 miles.

Their main aim was to raise awareness and provide the local community with vital information about oral cancer whilst raising money to support ourselves.

They shared top tips on social media including how to carry out essential mouth cancer self-checks encouraging patients who couldn’t attend the practice due to the pandemic, to do these important checks regularly at home and report any concerns they have to their dentist or doctor.

The team shared posts of their walking efforts, all carried out social distancing and following the relevant government guidance at the time. They definitely appreciated having a goal to concentrate on. There is still time to support their efforts. Visit
