Another November brings with it another Mouth Cancer Action Month. In previous years the launch of Mouth Cancer Action Month has been at the House of Commons, an event jointly hosted between the Mouth Cancer Foundation and the Oral Health Foundation.
This year it will be slightly different, with rules and regulations becoming stricter medical professionals are forced to find innovative ideas to spread awareness. Like the Mouth Cancer Foundation the Oral Health Foundation aim to get mouth cancers diagnosed at an early stage by raising awareness of the disease. They say ‘ We want to encourage everybody to be more vigilant about changes in their mouth, and act immediately if anything is noticed that is out of the ordinary’. We are still sending out all leaflets and posters for FREE of charge to all dental practices, doctors, hospital waiting rooms, schools and pharmacies that wish to display them. For free materials please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Instead of holding cake sales within your setting why not encourage your staff, or friends to take part in the Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk from Home to help create awareness and fundraise for our charity. Register at www.mouthcancerwalk.org/register
