John Lennon’s Tooth Tours the UK to Raise Awareness of Mouth Cancer

Part of John Lennon’s tooth has been touring UK dental surgeries since November 2012 to raise awareness of mouth cancer.

The tooth, which once belonged to the guitarist’s former housekeeper Dot Jarlett, was bought by Canadian dentist Michael Zuk for £19,000. It was made into three necklaces-one of which is being displayed at 16 dental practices around the UK. As the necklace arrives at each practice, people coming to take a look at it are being offered free screenings for mouth cancer.

We are in support of anyway which increases awareness of mouth cancer screenings.
