The news headlines across the globe currently make very grim reading. They are our reality!

And the fact is, head and neck cancer patients, like anyone with cancer and other underlying health issues, are in the high-risk category when it comes to contracting coronavirus. We are therefore asking everyone to do a very simple thing... STAY AT HOME. #StayAtHome

Anyone who isn't a key worker, such as the NHS staff fighting on the frontline, should stay in and help flatten the curve. One of our charity Ambassadors, Mahesh Kumar is a Maxillofacial Surgeon at  a major London hospital which was declared a 'critical incident' on Friday due to the overwhelming surge in coronavirus patients. This status was stood down after 24 hours, but you can see how fast this world-wide situation is moving.

Mahesh Kumar says ' The situation is simply petrifying. Fit and healthy coronavirus patients of all ages are fighting for their lives and medics will eventually have to choose who get the ventilators'.

The charity is keen to protect Mahesh, all critical workers and as many poeple as possible. We must #stayathome to prevent further spread of Covid- 19. We all have a responsibility to do the right thing.

If any head and neck cancer patients require any kind of support during this tough time, please phone our advice line 01924 950950 or email in at We are here to support you.

This video should encourage you to stay at home - #StayAtHome
